Meet Dale H. Henley, A Rockwall Personal Injury Attorney On Your Side

|

When people come to us after a serious injury or a major loss, they want more than a name on a door. They want to know who will stand beside them, who will speak for them, and who will push back when an insurance company refuses to play fair. That is where attorney Dale H. Henley comes in.

Dale grew up in Mesquite, lives in Rockwall, and has spent more than two decades helping injured Texans across the state. In his bio video, he talks candidly about why he moved from defending insurance companies to representing the people those companies often overlook. Before we share more of his story, we invite you to hear directly from him.

Why Dale Chose To Stand With Injured Texans

In the video, Dale explains that he started his career on the insurance defense side. He clerked for Kevin in 2003 at an insurance defense firm and received his Texas law license in late 2004. Even then, he felt pulled in a different direction. As he puts it, “My heart was kind of always on the other side of the fence.”

Early in his career, he began bringing in plaintiff cases because he wanted to help people who had been hurt, not corporations. That choice says a lot about how he views his work. He saw how the system treated injured people and decided to cross that fence for good.

Dale also talks about what he saw working for insurance companies. He describes them bluntly as “so unfair,” and he often tells people, “If insurance companies just did what they were supposed to do, I wouldn’t have a job. Unfortunately, they don’t.” That insider perspective shapes the way he prepares every case. He knows how insurers think, and he uses that knowledge to fight for the people who come to us for help.

Experience You Can Hear In His Own Words

When Dale talks about his time in practice, you can hear both his experience and his sense of humor. He mentions that he has been doing this work for “20 plus years now” and jokes that he sometimes has to “go back and check my bar license” because the years add up. Behind that light tone sits a long track record of helping clients through some of the hardest moments of their lives.

Over the course of his career, he has helped thousands of clients in personal injury matters, including car accidents, trucking accidents, and premises liability claims, as well as commercial litigation. That is not a marketing line; it comes straight from the way his practice has grown from the early days in Dallas to the work he now does throughout Texas.

Today, Dale serves as a member and partner at Vice Henley & Dilbeck. He originally worked as an associate at the Dallas firm Sifford Anderson Vice & MacFarlane, LLP. From there, he and Kevin branched out on their own and expanded the practice into the Rockwall area. That move reflects what our firm stands for: bringing big-firm skill to the communities where we live and work.

Clients As Friends & Lifelong Relationships

One of the most revealing parts of Dale’s video comes when he talks about how he sees the people he represents. “I like to look at my clients as friends because I want them to be lifelong friends,” he says. That is not just a turn of phrase for him. It shows how he approaches every case—as a relationship, not a file.

He explains that he wants clients to feel truly satisfied with the outcome of their case, not just resigned to it. In his words, “I want my clients to be happy when they’re finished. I don’t want them to be, ‘Eh, we did okay.’ I want my clients to be happy.” That standard matches the way we aim to practice law across our entire firm.

At Vice Henley & Dilbeck, we talk a lot about real people, real solutions, and real care. Dale’s approach brings that promise to life. He takes the time to know the people behind the paperwork, to understand what a crash or a fall has done to their work, their family, and their future. That focus on the person, not just the claim, is a big reason why so many of his clients stay in touch long after their case ends.

Rooted In Rockwall & Serving Texans Statewide

Dale’s story starts far from the courthouse. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri, then raised in Mesquite, Texas. He graduated with highest honors from Mesquite High School in 1989, which hints at the work ethic he now brings to each case. He earned his B.S. in accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2000, graduating magna cum laude, and completed his J.D. at Southern Methodist University School of Law in 2004.

That accounting background adds an extra layer of strength to his work in commercial litigation and complex injury cases that involve financial losses. He understands numbers as well as narratives, which helps him present clear, grounded claims in negotiations and in court.

Dale holds a license to practice in Texas courts and in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas. He is a member of the American Bar Association and The Rockwall Bar Association, reflecting both his connection to the wider legal community and his commitment to the region he calls home.

Today, he lives in Rockwall with his wife, Tania, and their three sons, Luke, Eli, and Linex. When he says in the video that he works out of Rockwall but serves “virtually the entire state,” that statement comes from lived experience. He has built his career helping injured Texans across a wide geographic area while staying rooted in the community where his family lives.

How Dale Reflects Our Firm’s Values & Mission

Vice Henley & Dilbeck brings passion, knowledge, and decades of experience to every case. We also believe that clients deserve personal attention and honest guidance. Dale reflects those values in the way he practices law every day.

His early work on the insurance defense side gives him a clear view of how those companies evaluate claims and why they often resist fair payment. His decision to move to the plaintiff side, and to stay there, lines up with our focus on standing for justice, honesty, and integrity in the law.

In his current role, he handles matters in:

  • Personal injury
  • Car accidents
  • Trucking accidents
  • Premises liability
  • Commercial litigation

These are the areas where many of our clients need strong advocacy the most, especially when an accident threatens their health, livelihood, or business. Dale’s long experience, combined with his plainspoken style and client-first mindset, helps us deliver the kind of representation we believe East Texans deserve.

If you watched his video, you have already heard the way he speaks about fairness, about insurance companies, and about his commitment to client satisfaction.
